About Myself

Hey, this is my homepage, so I have to say something about myself. Sometimes it is hard to introduce yourself because you know yourself so well that you do not know where to start with. Let me give a try to see what kind of image you have about me through my self-description. I hope that my impression about myself and your impression about me are not so different. Here it goes.

So, let me introduce myself, my name is Ratih Kumala Dewi. You can call me Ratih. The name I gave from my father when I was born. I just learned the meaning of this name when I was 18 years old. My name is given based on a meaningful Javanese name, “an intelligent gift goddess from God”. Yes, that's the meaning that I can understand, hehe. I'm sure each name has its own prayer. And I'm grateful for that. So, don't be sad if your name sounds like "old school". Parents will definitely give the best for their children.

I was born in Jakarta, June 2, 1997. Jakarta is also the place my mother was born and raised. My parents from two regions were different, but they met in Jakarta. My father is from Yogyakarta and my mother is from Jakarta. They met when my father moved to Jakarta and they fell in love hehe. From the marriage of my parents, I have 2 brothers. And yes I am the last child in this family. My first sister named Dyah Nur Prabawati, she was born in 1992 and my second brother Arief Bayu Laksono was born in 1995. The three of us rarely get along well, yes like a Tom and Jerry hahaha. Even though we rarely get along well, we realize that we are family. And families must love each other.

As the last child, when I was a child I did get more attention from my parents but because I was an adult I didn't get it anymore haha. People say, my smile is sweet because I have ginger teeth hehe, beautiful eyes, tan skin and long black hair. I am around 163cm but my weight is currently unstable and can be said to be fat huhu. I have a diet to get rid of all this fat, spirit!

I am a person who is positive about every aspect of life. There are many things I like to do, to see, and to experience. I like to read, I like to write, I like to think, I like to dream, I like to talk, I like to listen. I like to see the sunrise in the morning, I like to see the moonlight at night, I like to smell the wind coming from the rain. I like to look at the clouds in the sky with a blank mind, I like to sleep early, I like to get up late; I like to be alone, I like to be surrounded by people. I like country’s peace, I like delicious food and comfortable shoes, I like cooking, I like comedy, horror and romantic movies. I like the land and the nature, I like people. And, I like to laugh.

Since I was a kid, I always went to school close to home, in my opinion it was not a good thing because we could not explore the new environment. RA Darunnajah Kindergarten is my first school. The kindergarten is not far from my house. When taken by foot about 20 minutes but it takes 10 minutes if you use a motorcycle. Since childhood, I always went to school on foot. If forced, I was just transferred to a motorcycle. Then I went to school in Cilangkap 7 Depok Public Elementary School where I could walk 5 minutes before entering the class, hehe. I went to school at Depok Yapemri Middle School, to get there I needed a public vehicle like a bus. And that was the first time I took a bus to school. Initially scared, there were negative things that appeared in my head but finally I got used to it. After finishing junior high school, I continued to SMA Plus PGRI Cibinong. It was during this high school that I was allowed to bring a motorcycle. Because of the usual congestion in the Cibinong market, I finally used a motorcycle to go to school.

Until now, I always use motorcycle especially to campus. I am now studying at Gunadarma University majoring in Information Systems. At first I chose this department because since high school I was interested in computers, I always got good grades in those lessons. But on the other hand I want to study communication. But God said differently, I was not accepted in that department and finally I was in the information system department until now. I enjoy every process of my education. My activities on campus are also laboratory information system assistants. There I learned many things, not only studying the program. I also learn leadership, soft skills, and public speaking.

I always want to have my own cafe or restaurant. I know that is very contrary to my current education. But part of my dream is working because of a hobby. Guess what my hobby is hehe. Yep, cooking has become my hobby since junior high school. I really enjoy cooking, I enjoy every process and also produce. Besides that, I also want to be someone who is useful to people around me. Can do things that bring small or large changes. Can visit beautiful beaches, and explore Indonesia.
